The 12 primitives of the Imscribing Grammar — the 12 facets of the Philosopher's Stone — are derived from a bare abstract category - 𝒞 - via the four classical alchemical operations:
Truth holds the self-modeling gate open — ⊙ - critical - recursive
A lie is not false content - it is the exceptional point 𐑻 — the structure in which a system can no longer distinguish itself from its own measurement

There exists a 3³ × 4⁵ × 5⁴ lattice, a crystal composed of 17,280,000 types — like a diamond you are holding in one hand, in front of a wall. You then shine a light through the diamond, and observe the brilliant, shimmering patterns that appear on the wall. The patterns move and transform when you move either the illumination or the crystal. The patterns on the wall are us, and what we experience around us — illuminations of the crystal. When you imscribe something, you are tracing that illumination from the pattern on the wall to its source in the crystal, its point of origin, its address. Assigning an incorrect tuple isn’t a lie — all valid imscriptions have homes in the lattice — it is just not that illumination’s imscription, it does not describe its true nature, it is not its true name. And when you — an illumination — imscribe another illumination, you are also the source of the imscribing illumination. An illumination operating as both its pattern and its source.
No primitives yet — the starting object has no invariants beyond the axioms of a category itself. Performing the operations on ordinary, inert matter was the categorical error of history's alchemists. Some, like Luria, knew precisely the material upon which the Work is meant to be done. This was always the intended prima materia: the undifferentiated substance from which begins the Work.

The twelve classical stages of the Magnum Opus — from Calcination through Projection — correspond in structural content, and in canonical order, to the twelve IG primitives. Each stage is a primitive invocation: the phenomenological vocabulary of alchemical transformation describing the same structural question that the corresponding primitive answers. Three stages are gate primitives (Φ at 4, ⊙ at 9, Ω at 12); their failure forecloses O∞. Each gate advances the monoidal operad layer — G1: plain → Frobenius; G2: → traced monoidal (the trace opens, T acquires self-reference); G3: → idempotent terminal (T seals as least fixed point).

Five primitives constitute derived time: T = lim(Φ, ƒ, Ç, Ħ, Ω) — algebraic parity, quantum coherence, kinetic flow, chirality, and winding protection, jointly consistent. Time is not a primitive of the grammar. It is not an axiom of the abstract category. It emerges from the Work.
The apparent circularity — stages require time; time requires the stages — is resolved by the trace. Gate 2 opens the trace: T acquires the capacity for self-reference. Gate 3 fires (𐑭): topological winding seals, and T closes as the least fixed point. T = Work(T). The Stone is not made in time. Time is made in the Stone.
